Who Is Erin Maher?

Erin is a certified childbirth educator and doula with a Masters in Education.  She is also a certified La Leche League leader and offers volunteer breastfeeding support by phone and at meetings through the Baldwin-Freeport LLL.  She offers classes on natural childbirth preparation throughout the year, and conducts workshops on the following topics:  Early Pregnancy Nutrition, Sibling Preparation, Natural Parenting, & Home-Based Business Coaching.  She has had 2 natural waterbirths of her own, and encourages women to reflect on their own ideals of birth & parenting, rather than yielding to societal pressures.

Who Is Regina Iaccarino?

Regina is a certified doula with professional and personal VBAC experience.  She is also trained in hypnobirthing and postpartum support.  She is a La Leche League Leader in training and expects to finish her certification requirements for LLL leadership and postpartum doula support by year's end.   She has had 2 C-sections and 2 successful VBACS, and is an active member of ICAN.  She works tirelessly to support a womans choice to birth her children vaginally.

What is their overall philosophy?

A doula's role is to support a woman where she is.  While both doulas have very positive views towards the benefits of natural birth, every woman and every labor is different.  Each woman, and each family will be supported in the ways that best suit their needs.
